Lacey's 'Meet The Officer' Day Coming Up On June 2
Event will feature free food, games, music and much more.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Come and meet the police officers who keep you safe at a special event on June 2 at the Lacey Township Middle School.
"The Meet the Officer" day is hosted by the police department, Lacey PBA#238 and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation. It will feature free food, music, boardwalk-style games, face-painting and giveaways like t-shirts and water bottles.
The event is part of the department's COPS Collectible Card program. Each officer will have their own collectible card program with them. Participating students who have been collecting the cards will be able to have them confirmed and be able to turn in their completed and verified forms.

Students with verified forms will be eligible for the grand prize drawings which will be held at each local elementary school in June.
The program worked like this: participating businesses each sponsored an officer, and had the trading cards available at their business. Families could bring their children in to collect the cards.

"This program is a very interactive and positive community initiative in which the youth of the township and their families get to know more about the officers and staff within their police department," said DiBella, who has his own card.
The June 2 event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
