Local Chamber's First Annual Town Square Sale Set for Saturday
The business expo and town-wide yard sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Community Hall

With Memorial Day on the horizon, this season may bring barbecues and beaches but for some, it also brings spring cleanup.
The Lacey Chamber of Commerce will be holding its first annual Town Square Sale, a town-wide yard sale at Community Hall, on Saturday, June 16 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We’re trying to find different ways to publicize to Lacey Township that (the Chamber) is here again,” Ruth Feeney of the Chamber of Commerce said. “The point of this is not to make money. It’s to get people acquainted with the Chamber, meet people and have fun.”

The Town Square Sale will feature a business expo with local businesses at tables providing information and tables with “treasures” being sold by residents, she said.
Outside, 60 tables have been reserved. The Chamber is hoping to fill 28 spots inside Community Hall. The event will feature a “nice mix” of business and residential vendors.

The day will also feature food vendors—Longshots, Joey Tomato’s Pizza, Meat BBQ and North East Kettle Korn—and face painting. WBNJ was invited for live entertainment as well as Lacey EMS and local fire departments.
“We want to promote all these different things in Lacey Township,” Feeney said. “We’re just really excited. This is our first time doing it. It’s about bringing the community together and having fun.”
