LACEY, NJ — A new coffee shop is set to brew up delicious drinks in Forked River.

North Jersey-based Forum Coffee has plans to open at 131 S. Main St. (the plaza with Fuji Steakhouse) in mid-August, a spokesperson for the business told Patch.

"We are New Jersey born and bred and our focus on fresh, quality ingredients served in our high-end buildouts quickly is what differentiate us from the pack," a Forum Coffee spokesperson said. "We have an app and loyalty reward program like the big box retailers but our focus on local and quality is what keeps our customers coming back."

They have four existing locations - two in Hoboken, one in Livingston and one in East Hanover. Three more - Little Falls, Fairfield and Forked River - are in the works, and three additional locations they haven't disclosed yet.

"We have a lot of momentum in North Jersey and quite a large following of regular customers and those who travel for our organic fresh-roasted coffee," the spokesperson said.

Founded by Jersey natives, Forum Coffee's aim is to expand and become "New Jersey's Local Coffee Shop." Their locations offer a variety of classic and signature coffee drinks using their own organic beans (which can also be purchased in a bag).

They're hard at work at the new Forked River location, renovating the spot to match their existing shops with cozy brick walls, black-and-white mosaic floors and marble countertops and tables.
