No More Pumpkin Picking At Popular Lacey Farm
Area 51 Farm, one of the few places in the area where you could actually pick from the vine, said that they stopped growing pumpkins.
LACEY, NJ — A popular Forked River spot this time of year has announced that it will no longer be producing pumpkins.
Area 51 was an old-fashioned pumpkin patch, one of the few in the area where guests could actually pick their gourds straight from the vine. However, owner Dave Groemm announced in a public Facebook post that "due to changing times," the farm would no longer be producing pumpkins.
"Thank You ALL for the Memories!" he wrote.

It was a popular place for families to bring kids not just for pumpkins, but for pony rides as well. It served as a quieter place than the nearby and often-crowded Argos Farm for simple pumpkin picking.
Those who are looking for a similar pumpkin picking experience can head to Bullock Farms in Cream Ridge, which also offers the old-fashioned pumpkins straight from the vine.
