Oct. 22: Municipal Alliance, Old Guard, Vendors Needed
Events in and around Lacey Township

1. The Lacey Township Municipal Alliance Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Recreation building, 818 W. Lacey Road. The meeting is open to the public.
2. The Forked River Old Guard will meet at 9 a.m. at the Community Center at South Main Street and Lacey Road. The Old Guard is a non-sectarian, non-political group that caters to retired and semi-retired men seeking a social activity and/or community service opportunities.
3.  The Lacey Township High School Parent Teacher Student Association is looking for vendors for the annual craft and vendor fair. The fair will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations for vendors are $35 for a 7-foot space.Â

4. Camp Bow Wow, 695 Challenger Way, Forked River, will sponsor a Howl-o-ween Doggy Costume Contest starting Monday. Dog owners who bring their pooches to camp dressed in their Halloween costumes will receive a 25 percent off bath coupon. The dogs will be photographed and posted on Facebook, with the pooch with the most likes by Halloween winning the grand prize.
5. The Family Planning Center of Ocean County will provide a free one-hour educational program for women on health issues such as breast, cervical, ovarian and colorectal cancer at 290 River Ave, Lakewood. Contact Ann Keever, director of Health Education & Outreach Services, at 732-364-9696 x127.
