Police: Repeat Offender Arrested for Outstanding Warrant

Criminal mischief, theft and warrant arrests for the last week

A Lanoka Harbor male, who has previously been detained for eluding police, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant.

Gregory Guarino, 54, of Lanoka Harbor was arrested at 9:46 p.m. on June 5 on the strength of a $500 warrant issued by Little Egg Harbor Municipal Court. He was transported to headquarters where he posted bail and was released.

Guarino was after he allegedly fled by car throughout the Walmart parking lot and to a home on Lake Barnegat Drive North.

June 13
A resident of Carr Street, Forked River reported that their car had a bottle thrown through the back window. There was $500 in damage.

June 11
A resident of Cypress Place, Forked River reported that while working on their home, they left a 6-foot aluminum ladder in front. Someone stole the ladder, which was valued at $100. 

June 10
A resident of Richard Lane, Forked River discovered that someone stole a stainless steel exterior sink and garden hose. The total value was $50. 

June 10
A resident reported that a car parked on Independence Drive in Forked River was damaged during the daytime hours. The damage, which totaled $500 in damage, consisted of a single scratch that traveled across the front and rear driver side doors.

A resident of Quail Lane North in Lanoka Harbor reported a vehicle was entered between Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10. The resident believes the vehicle was left locked. Golf clubs and a golf bag, valued at $1,200, were stolen.

An officer responded to Orchard Street in Lanoka Harbor. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a Garmin GPS valued at $200. Items were also strewn throughout vehicle.

A resident reported that someone keyed a vehicle causing $200 in damage. 

June 9
Officers responded to Lacey Inn for a possible dispute. The door to one of the rooms sustained damage via physical force. There was $150 in damage. 

June 8
A 17-year-old male from Island Heights was detained by Walmart security for the suspicion of shoplifting at 11:52 a.m. He allegedly attempted to steal $52 headphones, police said. The male was taken to headquarters and released to his mother. A juvenile complaint was completed.

An officer reported to Fast Cash on Lacey Road where someone spray painted graffiti on the side of the building. The graffiti consisted of the word “Slack Saw.” There was $50 in damage. 

June 8
An officer responded to Hill Street in Lanoka Harbor. A rubber tire frontend loader made by CAT sustained damage. A rock was thrown through the front windshield. There was $500 in damage. 

June 8
Jonathan Amato, 26, was observed operating a vehicle at 8:20 p.m. while on the suspended drivers list, police said. He received a summons for driving while suspended. He also had an outstanding Lacey warrant for $600. Amato was taken into custody and posted bail. 

June 7
An officer took report at the old Rite Aid on Route 9 where a landscaping company was in the process of maintaining the property. While in the rear of property, someone stole a Husqvarna Blower from the truck, which was parked in the front. The equipment was valued at $200. 

June 7
Someone entered the crawl space of a home under construction on Laurel Boulevard and stole 100 feet of copper wire. The value has yet to be established. 

June 6
A resident of First Street, Forked River reported that a LG prepaid cell phone and a hearing aid, total value more than $1,400, were stolen from the house. There was also damage to the screen of a laptop. There was no forced entry. 

June 5
Lori Rotondella, 39, of Forked River was arrested on the strength of a Lacey warrant for $500. She was found to have another warrant for $600 from Little Egg Harbor Municipal Court.

Rotondella was charged with criminal mischief consisting of a broken window at a Route 9 professional building, which was reported to the police in July 2011. Damage to the window was over $500. Her bail for that incident was set at $2,500.

Rotondella was sent to Ocean County Jail with a $3,600 total bail.
