LACEY, NJ — Keith Elias, a former New York Giants running back and Lacey Township native, will be featured in a virtual interview with the Ocean County Library on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m.

The Ocean County Library is giving viewers the opportunity to send in questions about football and Elias’ career. Questions can be sent to lehereader@theoceancountylibrary.org by Wednesday at 10 a.m. or asked during the live event.

While playing football for Lacey Township High School, Elias rushed over 4,000 yards and scored 363 points before he graduated in 1990. Elias earned All-American honors at Lacey Township High School and Princeton University, where he established 21 athletic records from 1991 through 1993.

Elias was signed as a free agent out of college by the New York Giants where he played from 1994 through 1996. He last played in the NFL for two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts in 1998 and 1999.

Elias' no. 20 jersey was retired by the Lacey Pop Warner football team in 1994 after he was signed to the New York Giants.
