Fire Damages Elementary School In Lakewood
The cause of the three-alarm fire remains under investigation.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A fire that damaged Piner Elementary School in Lakewood on Friday night remains under investigation on Saturday, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.
The fire was reported about 7:30 p.m. at the school on East County Line Road, the prosecutor's office said.
Lakewood police and firefighters who responded found an active structure fire and were able to extinguish the blaze, the prosecutor's office said.

Video posted on Facebook by Ryan Mack of Jersey Shore Fire Response shows flames billowing from the roof of the building. The three-alarm fire prompted a mutual aid response from several towns, including Brick, Toms River, Point Pleasant, Jackson, Howell, and Wall Township, the report said.
Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said the cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the arson squad of the prosecutor's office, the New Jersey State Fire Marshal's Office, Lakewood police and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.
