• Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles Responds to Your ‘Ask The Mayor' Questions: Two Concerns, Traffic Light, County Line (thelakewoodscoop.com) — Lakewood drivers raised safety concerns about tricky left turns on Cedarbridge and the lack of protective barriers along North and South Lake drives, and Mayor Ray Coles says engineers and county officials are now reviewing both issues. He also pledged to revisit truck and bus turning problems at East End and County Line, tying them into broader county intersection upgrades planned for Cedarbridge.

• Lakewood Police Make Arrest Following Shots Fired and Firearm Threat Incidents (thelakewoodscoop.com) — Police arrested a 39-year-old man after two overnight firearm incidents in Lakewood, including shots fired near Laurel Avenue and a weapon threat earlier in the evening. Officers later recovered a loaded gun and drugs from his vehicle and associated residence, and say the investigation is ongoing with possible additional charges. No injuries were reported, and Lakewood police thanked residents and assisting agencies for their help.

• Man Indicted For Drunken, High-Speed Crash That Killed Matawan Woman, Prosecutor Says (patch.com) — A Toms River man has been indicted after an alleged drunk, high‑speed crash on Cedar Bridge Avenue in Lakewood that killed a 52‑year‑old Matawan woman in May. Prosecutors say he was driving up to 98 mph with a suspended license and a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit when his car went airborne and flipped into a drainage ditch.
