• 2025 DATA: Lakewood Traffic Deaths Rise as Ocean County Leads State in Fatal Crashes (thelakewoodscoop.com) — Deadly crashes in Lakewood rose sharply in 2025, with 10 people killed on township roads, including incidents on the Garden State Parkway, Route 70, and key local intersections. While statewide traffic deaths fell, Ocean County led New Jersey in fatalities, underscoring growing safety concerns for Lakewood drivers and pedestrians alike. 
• Man attacked by driver after fender bender at Jersey Shore intersection on Sunday (nbcphiladelphia.com) — A driver was injured in downtown Lakewood after a minor rear-end crash at First Street and Clifton Avenue turned violent, with the other motorist allegedly tackling and dragging him before fleeing. Lakewood police say the victim suffered rib, neck, knee, and facial injuries, and detectives are actively investigating the hit-and-run assault.
