Smoky Air Prompts Jersey Shore BlueClaws Game Postponement
The air quality issues prompted the postponement; tickets can be used at Thursday's doubleheader or exchanged, the team said.
LAKEWOOD, NJ — The Jersey Shore BlueClaws game set for Wednesday evening has been postponed due to air quality concerns, the team announced.
The game was postponed "out of abundance of caution for the safety of fans, players, coaches, and staff," the team said. "In consultation with both medical personnel, on-field staff, and Major League Baseball policy, the game will not be played tonight."
The BlueClaws were scheduled to play the Hudson Valley Renegades. The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader set for Thursday. Game 1 is scheduled to begin at 5:35 p.m. with the gates opening at 5 p.m.
