1 Dead, 1 Injured In Mercer County Shooting: Prosecutor
The incident occurred Tuesday evening in Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ – One person was killed and another injured in a shooting that took place in Trenton on Tuesday evening, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Friday.
Around 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Trenton patrol units responded to the area of Stuyvesant Avenue and Hoffman Avenue on a shot spotter activation.
While on scene, officers learned that two gunshot victims had arrived at Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Jonathan Applegate, of Trenton, was shot multiple times and later died at the hospital, Onofri said. The other man was treated for a gunshot wound and released from the hospital.
The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are currently investigating.
