18-Year-Old Killed In Mercer Motorcycle Crash While Riding In Group
His fellow riders fled the scene before police could arrive, authorities said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — An 18-year-old was killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday while he was riding with his group, Hamilton Police said.
On Sunday, around 6:15 p.m., a crash occurred on Lalor Street near Bunting Avenue.
According to police, 18-year-old Alexander Thomas of Sicklerville, was riding westbound with a group of motorcyclists and quad riders. The group was driving recklessly in the oncoming lane when Thomas attempted to pass a quad rider, police said. In the process, he collided with the rear of the quad, lost control, and crashed.

Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene and fellow riders fled before authorities arrived, police said.
The crash is currently under investigation by Officer J. Anaya and Officer P. Welsh of the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash are asked to contact the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit at (609) 581.
