Holt to Host Student Aid Workshop for High Schoolers

Information about financial aid opportunities for college-bound students will be discussed at the Oct. 19 workshop hosted by U.S. Rep. Rush Holt.

A college student aid workshop intended for high school students and their parents will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Hopewell Township municipal building at 201 Washington-Crossing Rd. in Hopewell Township.

The event – which is free and open to residents from throughout the Mercer County area – is being hosted by U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-Hopewell Township) of New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Education, the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, and Rutgers University.

“Experts will be on hand to offer information on financial aid opportunities at the federal, state, and campus levels, including Pell Grants, Perkins Loans, and scholarship and loan programs offered by the State of New Jersey,” Holt said in a news release.
