Lawrence Police Release Photo of Burglary Suspect

Hoping that someone with recognize the suspect, Lawrence Township police have released a photo of the man who, they say, .
The image was captured by a security camera at the Sunoco gas station in the 1700 block of Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1) late in the evening on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
It was 11:50 that night when police were notified that the Sunoco’s burglar alarm system had been set off. Responding officers arrived to find that one of the building’s windows had been busted out.

While a subsequent search of the building by its owner revealed that nothing had been stolen, a review of the security camera footage showed an intruder in the building.
Police described the burglar as a white or Hispanic male, between 18 and 20 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, 150 to 165 pounds, wearing a dark blue New York Yankees cap with a flat brim, a plain blue T-shirt, and jeans.

The released image - which shows the burglar holding a large flashlight -Â has a slight bluish tint to it due to a camera malfunction, police said.
It is unknown at this time if the man seen inside the Sunoco played a role in any of the other recent burglaries and thefts in town.
