Lawrence Twp. To Celebrate Police Chief's Retirement On Dec. 30

Chris ​Longo announced his retirement last month after 25 years in service.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Lawrence Township will be celebrating the retirement of Chief of Police, Christopher Longo on Monday, Dec. 30.

The event will be hosted by the Lawrence Police Department at the police headquarters, Municipal Court Room, 2211 Lawrence Road.

Light refreshments will be served.

Longo announced his retirement last month after 25 years in service. He will be pursuing another career path post-retirement.

"Serving the Lawrence Township community as the Chief of Police has been the biggest honor of my 25-year career," Longo said in a statement. "I am also truly humbled to have been Chief during the police department's 100th Anniversary milestone."

Longo graduated from Lawrence High School in 1993 and started his career with the Lawrence Police Department in September 1999 as a police dispatcher.
