Matawan Man Charged After Hit-&-Run At Illegal Car Meet Injures 2 Teens In Mercer

MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A Matawan man was charged Friday in connection with a hit-and-run incident that injured two victims during an illegal car meet last month, Robbinsville Police said.
Kyle Pound, 23, faces multiple charges, including second-degree aggravated assault, two counts of fourth-degree assault by auto, third-degree endangering an injured victim, third-degree leaving the scene with serious injury, and related motor vehicle offenses.
The incident occurred on the evening of Sept. 21, when Robbinsville Police responded to reports of an illegal car meet on Applegate Drive. On arrival, officers found around 50 vehicles had fled the scene.

The Criminal Investigations Unit's investigation found two teens — a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old — who were struck by a vehicle driven by Pound.
Pound is currently being held at the Mercer County Correctional Center pending court proceedings.
