School Bus Loaded With Students Crashes In Mercer County
Students and staff members were treated by first responders on the scene, officials said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A school bus carrying students from Robbinsville School District was involved in a traffic accident Tuesday morning, authorities said.
No life-threatening injuries have been reported, according to Robbinsville Public Schools Superintendent Patrick Pizzo.
Around 7:38 a.m., the Robbinsville Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a school bus crash on Hankins Road.

On arrival, officers found a school bus transporting students to Pond Road Middle School that left the road and crashed into a tree. The school bus was traveling Eastbound on Hankins Road in the area of #125 Hankins Road prior to the crash, Robbinsville Police said.
On board with the driver were 10 students, police said.

All students and staff members of Pond Road Middle School who were aboard the bus were evaluated at the scene by emergency responders. The bus driver was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, and one student passenger was taken to Princeton Medical Center, police said.
Families of the affected students have been contacted directly by school officials, Pizzo said.
Despite the incident, school operations at Pond Road Middle School are proceeding as normal.
“Counseling and nursing staff are available for any student who may need support following the incident,” Pizzo said.
