Paper Shredding, Electronics Disposal Event to Take Place Sunday Alongside Lawrence Community Day

Lawrence Township public works personnel will collect paper for shredding and old covered electronics for disposal in the Yeger Drive parking lot of Village Park, while the township Communtiy Day festival takes place in the Bergen Street side of the park

While Lawrence Township’s annual Community Day festival is taking place on the Bergen Street side of Village Park Sunday (Oct. 2), the township’s Public Works Department will hold a paper shredding and covered electronics disposal collection in the park’s Yeger Drive parking lot.

A flyer issued by the township about the cleanup effort reads:

“Lawrence Township residents can bring material for shredding or covered electronics for disposal to the Yeger Drive parking lot in Village Park on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Material for shredding cannot include cardboard or X-rays and cannot exceed 100 pounds. Covered electronics includes televisions, computers, VCRs, DVDs, etc.”

Community Day – featuring activities for children, food vendors selling their creations and displays by over five dozen local businesses and community groups – will take place from 12:30 to 4 p.m. .
