Monday

MOMS Club of Lawrenceville West Open House, Village Park, Bergen St & Yeger Dr, Lawrenceville, 10 a.m.

The MOMS Club of Lawrenceville West will host an open house at Village Park on May 20 from 10 a.m. noon (weather permitting). They will be at the large playground off Bergen Street. If you are a stay-at-home mom (full or part time), you are welcome to attend with your children. Come meet some of the moms and learn more about the organization. Each month, they offer events for moms and playgroups and field trips for children. Please rsvp or direct any questions to mclwest@gmail.com.

Tuesday

Terhune Orchards Read and Pick Program: Farm Animals, Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Rd, Princeton, 9:30 a.m.

Read and Pick is an innovative program that combines hands on farm activity with your young child and listening to a story highlighting the fruit or farm area. Parents and young children (ages preschool to 8 years) are welcome to celebrate everything wonderful about farm animals. They will be reading two books about farm animals. Then everyone will participate in a farm craft activity with wool from Terhune Orchards sheep. The cost is $7 per child and includes the craft to take home. Wednesday

Bible Study, Lawrence Township Senior Center, 30 E Darrah Ln, Lawrence Township, 10:30 a.m.

Basic non-denominational Bible study classes for seniors meets weekly, open to all seniors that want to take a closer look at scripture and share their faith.

Thursday

D.A.R.E. Carnival, 1638 Old Trenton Rd, West Windsor, 5 p.m.

Come out to Mercer County Park Festival Grounds and support D.A.R.E. NJ for their third annual carnival. Two big weekends. Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays noon to 11 p.m., Sundays noon to 10 p.m. and Memorial Day noon to 10 p.m. Fireworks on both Saturdays. Friday

Lawrence Middle School Career Day 2013, Lawrence Middle School, 2455 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, 8 a.m.

The event will take place from 8:00 to 11:00 Am and feature a key note speaker for students as well as small break out groups with presenters from many different backgrounds sharing information about their occupations.  Community members who might be interested in being a presenter are welcome to contact the school for more information.
