Troop 28 Conducts ‘Court Of Honor’ Ceremony

Six Lawrence Township boy scouts advanced in rank during the ceremony held last month at Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church.

Boy Scouts Troop 28 conducted its winter Court of Honor and annual Holiday Potluck Supper Dec. 16 at the . The Boy Scouts of America recognizes scout achievements by awarding badges of rank, and during the quarterly Court of Honor six Scouts advanced in rank.

Scouts who advanced were: Mathew Molineros, Star; and David Horne, Kyle Jorgensen, Evan Monfre, Ryan Morris and Jack Wagner, who each attained the rank of Tenderfoot.

A successful Boy Scout troop depends on committed adult leaders and involved parents. Leaders recognized for their devoted service were: John Murawski for three years of service; Robert Murawski for 16 years of service; Cliff Reed for 30 years of service; Cliff Stoop for 41 years of service and Bob Inglis for 72 years of service.

Troop 28 is open to boys who have completed fifth grade, and meets Friday nights from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Troop Hut at Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church. Boys need not have been involved in scouting to join.
