Grace Period For Little Silver Tax Payments Extended

The extension was granted after tax bills were delivered late.

Little Silver residents will have a bit longer to pay their third quarter tax bills.

The grace period for third quarter taxes has been extended to August 13 due a the delay in their mailing. The Little Silver borough web site states that the bills were sent out to all residents on July 16.

"The bills will be delayed due to certification of state aid figures required to be reported on the individual bills," the Little Silver July newsletter states.  "State law requires that municipalities allow a 25 day grace period from the date of mailing."

Any residents who did not receive their bill should contact the Little Silver Tax Collector's Office at 732-219-0812.

"All eligible Homestead Rebate recipients had their credit applied to their third quarter payment amounts," the borough web site states. "The credit is reflected on the third quarter tax bill stub as an adjustment."
