UPDATE: Wednesday is Last Day For Bulk Pickup From Hurricane Sandy in Long Branch

Bulky waste will not be picked up after Wednesday

 

Long Branch residents who still need to dispose of bulky waste caused by Hurricane Sandy must do so by this Wednesday.

The city issued the following Code Red Alert message on Monday:

"This Wednesday will be the last day for Bulk pickup. Please make sure all your bulk items are at your curb before Wednesday to allow public works and our contractors to remove them in a timely fashion.

Any items put out after Wednesday will NOT be picked up and they will be the responsibility of the homeowner to dispose of.

If contractors are doing work on your property, please remind them that they should NOT leave bulk at your curb, and it is their responsibility to transport and dispose of the materials."

The city will begin regular bulk pickup again next Wednesday with a maximum of eight items.
