1 Car Stolen, 1 Burglarized In Long Valley: Police
The keys were left overnight inside the car that was taken, police said.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Long Valley resident's car was burglarized on Wednesday, and another's car was stolen, according to the Washington Township Police Department.
An unidentified resident on Pickle Road discovered a backpack with a Chromebook and wallet missing from a car about 7 a.m., said police spokesperson Lt. Mark Niemynski.
A second unidentified resident on Jordan Court reported a car stolen at about 9 a.m., police said. The resident left the keys inside the car overnight, Niemynski said. Police recovered the car in Newark.

Anyone with information about either case was asked to call the Washington Township Police Department at 908-876-3232.
Residents were cautioned to lock their cars and take the keys or key fobs and valuable items out of their cars, Niemynski said.
