First Aid, Fire Dept. Budgets Presented At Long Valley Meeting

LONG VALLEY, NJ — The Washington Township Committee plans to meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for the second in a series of special budget meetings.

The first aid squad and fire department budgets are being discussed at the in-person meeting, at the municipal building on 43 Schooley’s Mountain Road. There is no virtual component for the meeting.

“Residents are invited to attend and participate in any and all of the meetings,” Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello previously told Patch.

A third budget meeting is scheduled on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m., with a summary posted in advance of that meeting, Murello said “before the committee makes decisions.”

“The budget will be introduced at the March committee meetings,” Murello said.

The Township Committee’s March meetings are planned on March 16 and 21, both starting at 7 p.m. in the municipal building.
