'Genuinely Kind' Long Valley Resident, Grandmother Dies At 74
Gloria Schott loved a good bargain and taking trips down the shore.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – She was talented and loved bargain shopping, but most of all, she was as kind as they came.
Gloria Schott, of Long Valley, died recently at the age of 74.
Born in Rahway in 1941, Schott lived in Budd Lake before settling down in Long Valley in 1980 where she raised her family.

She was well known for her friendliness as a customer service representative for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission in Washington.
Schott loved the shore and boating down in Barnegat Bay, family vacations in L.B.I., and visiting the poker tables and slot machines in Atlantic City.

She was a great bargain shopper who got a kick out of buying gifts for family members. Most of all, she loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of 47 years; two daughters and a son; and three grandchildren.
