Grab 'Coffee With a Cop' Every Other Month at Washington Township Library

The first meeting is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m.

WASHINGTON TWP., N.J.– Starting in Decemeber, members of the Washington Township police department will meet with residents at the library every other month for "Coffee with a Cop."

"Coffee with a Cop" is a national program which brings police officers and the community members they serve together–over coffee–to discuss issues and learn more about each other, according to its website.

The first meeting will take place on Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m. Chief Jeff Almer will be attending, while different officers or units will be present at the proceeding events.

The 2017 meeting schedule: Feb. 28, April 25 and June 27.

Registration is limited to the first 10 people to sign up.
