Long Valley Resident Of 50 Years, Great-Grandfather Dies At 79

Bill Gould was a self-employed electrical contractor.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – Legrand William “Bill” Gould was a lifelong Morris County resident who put his family first.

The longtime Long Valley homeowner died recently, surrounded by family, at the age of 79.

Born in Denville, Gould moved to Long Valley nearly 50 years ago. He graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1957 and had a successful career as a self-employed electrical contractor.

Gould also served in the Army National Guard at Camp Drum and Fort Dix National Army Reserve for several years.

Gould is remembered as an honorable man with a wonderful work ethic, and “was a genuinely kind soul,” his family said.

He is predeceased by his wife, Kay Janice Gould, and is survived by six children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
