Police Log: DWI Arrest Made Over Weekend

At just before 9 PM on Saturday evening, a patrolman stopped a car on Schooley's Mountain Road for a motor vehicle violation. According to report, the driver, a 39-year-old from Long Valley, was intoxicated. The driver had taken some drugs, police said. He was arrested and taken to Washington Township Police Headquarters. That individual was later issued motor vehicle violations--DWI, Reckless Driving and Failure to maintain Lane--and then released to a responsible adult and given a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court, according to police.
