Washington Township Police Help Make A Better Home For Local Tot
The Policemen's Benevolent Association donated to a plan to make Levi Spencer's home wheelchair accessible.

The Washington Township Policemen's Benevolent Association Local #301 is playing a part in making a young boy's life more comfortable. On August 17, the association donated $500 to Levi Spencer and his family toward wheelchair access renovation for his home.
According to the Facebook page, Pray For Levi, Roxbury 4-year-old Levi Spencer was diagnosed at birth with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele, which affects 5-6 of his vertebrae. Spina bifida can affect an individual's mobility, including leg movements, as well as bladder and bowel function.
The Spencer family is working on a remodeling plan for their ranch-style home, adding a second floor and opening up the first floor for Levi. Depending on where the nerves are exposed, reflects on the child's mobility (leg movements, bladder/ bowel function). Lesion sizes can vary, Levi's went from hip to hip. He has a horizontal zig-zag scar line from surgery though some run up and down.
