Wolfpack LAX Wins Sectional Title, Will Play For State Championship Wednesday

No. 11 ranked team heads to Marlton to compete for Group 3 trophy.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – The long-awaited sectional title is theirs, but there’s another game to be played, and one that will solidify their spot in school – and state – history.

The West Morris Central Wolfpack boys lacrosse team has made history this season, beating Northern Highlands for the North, Group 3 title by a score of 6-4. The team reached the sectional title game two out of the previous three years but were unable to secure the win.

The ‘Pack put on an offensive clinic during the tournament, outscoring its Philipsburg, Morris Knolls, Millburn, and Northern Highlands by a total of 47 to 15 in four games.

The nj.com number 11 team in the state now heads to Marlton Wednesday, June 1 to play Moorestown for the Group 3 state title at 5 p.m.

Moorestown, ranked No. 12, is coming off its South, Group 3 title win against Jackson Liberty.
