Expected snowfall accumulation Wednesday night "could result in snow covered and icy roads for the Thursday morning commute."

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — More snow and sleet are in the forecast for Bergen County this week, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook that includes northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut, and southeast New York.

Snowfall accumulation is expected Wednesday night, and "could result in snow covered and icy roads for the Thursday morning commute."

Here is a more detailed forecast from the NWS:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, temperature will reach a high near 33 by noon then fall to around 28. Wind chill values are between 15 and 20 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour.

Tuesday night: Clouds coming in, with a low around 20 degrees. Northwest wind calming in the evening.

Wednesday: High of 42 degrees and mostly cloudy. Wind chill values will be between 20 and 30.

Wednesday night: Sixty percent chance of precipitation through the night, with new accumulation of less than half an inch. A chance of rain, snow, and sleet before 10 p.m. Rain and slow likely between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday. Snow also likely after 4 a.m. Cloudy, with a low close to 28.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of snow before 1 p.m. and mostly cloudy.
