BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Little Ferry woman was charged with first-degree murder in the death of an infant, acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced Friday.
Hiralbahen Bhavsar, 29, was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, Calo said.
Bhavasar was arrested and charged after the Bergen County Public Safety Operations Center received a 911 call at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday night from Bhavsar, who said she was "having a medical emergency" at her apartment, Calo said.
