Flash Flood Warning Extended For Bergen County, Road Closures Reported
A flash flood warning was extended for Bergen County until 5:30 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A flash flood warning is in effect for Bergen County until 5:30 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service said.
Radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the area. One to three inches of rain has fallen, as of 4:24 p.m. Flash flooding is ongoing with multiple reports of road closures in Hackensack, Paramus and Lodi.
Rain could result in flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses, and other poor-drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Wayne, Hackensack, Bergenfield, Paramus, Ridgewood, Lyndhurst, Rutherford, Ramsey, Ridgefield, Englewood, Oradell, Norwood and Teterboro.
Carlough Drive in Paramus; all lanes of Hasbrouck Heights Route 46, west of Summit Avenue; and Lodi Street, South Newman Street and Green Street in Hackensack closed due to flooding, the Iowa Environmental Mesonet reported.

Darlington County Park in Mahwah, and the Fort Lee Wading Pools and Spray Park, were also reported closed for the rest of the day.
