Flood Warning In Effect For Bergen County

A flood warning is in place for Bergen County until 2:15 p.m., the National Weather Service said.

A flood warning is in effect for Bergen County until 2:15 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service announced.

Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected in low-lying and poor drainage areas, and on roadways. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.

Radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between a half-inch to an inch of rain has fallen, as of 12:45 p.m. An additional half-inch to one inch is expected.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Rutherford, Ridgefield, Teterboro, Fair Lawn, Garfield, Lodi, Elmwood Park and Saddle Brook.
