MAHWAH, NJ — A Mahwah financial consultant died at age 60 last week, according to his obituary.

Mark Maurer, most recently self-employed as a consultant in commercial financing and capital acquisition, died on Dec. 21, his obituary published by a Fort Lee funeral home said.

Prior to being self-employed, he held leading positions at various financial institutions, including that of executive vice president at an Atlantic Stewardship Bank, first vice president at a Provident Bank, and senior vice president at an RBS Citizens Bank, his LinkedIn profile said.

Maurer graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1982. He is survived by his son, parents and siblings.
