Mahwah Restaurant Plans To Reopen This Weekend Following Fire

MAHWAH, NJ- A Mahwah restaurant said it plans to reopen this weekend following a roof fire two weeks ago.
All five volunteer fire companies were dispatched on July 28 after receiving a report of a structure fire at Namaste Indian Restaurant on Franklin Turnpike, where crews "worked quickly" to contain the flames and limit damage to the building, the fire department said.
At the time of the fire, the restaurant was open for business, but "no one was harmed or injured," Namaste Indian said in a social media post following the incident.

In an update Thursday evening on its Facebook page, the restaurant said, "We are so thankful for the Mahwah Fire and Police department for always keeping us safe. Happy to announce that we will resume business within the next day or so after we get confirmation from the fire authorities. We are so grateful to be surrounded by a community that helps one another. Thank you so much for your concern, but we are happy to report all is well."
