Mahwah School District Offers Parents One of the Best Values in NJ, Study Finds
The study ranked Mahwah's school district 21st out of 266 for its high graduation rate and 87 percent enrollment in 4-year higher education.

A new study found that the Mahwah School District offers parents one of the best values in New Jersey.
Consumer advocacy site NerdWallet compiled the list of 266 school disctrics to show “there are many affordable cities with strong schools, and many places where better schools offset the premium of living [in New Jersey].”
According to the study, Mahwah came in at number 21 for its 94 percent graduation rate, 87 percent enrollment in 4-year high education, average SAT score of 1689 and average class size of 11.5 students.

“By balancing school quality ratings with cost-of-living data, NerdWallet has found the school districts where families will get the most bang for their buck in New Jersey,” according to NerdWallet’s website.
The top five school districts were Haddonfield, Glen Rock, Bernards, Verona, Pequannock, while the bottom five were Hoboken, Roselle, Plainfield, Trenton and Asbury Park.
