MAHWAH, NJ — A Mahwah man was pepper sprayed and wrestled with police after he ran out of a house Tuesday morning barefoot with no shirt, police said.

Marvin Corominal, 24, will be charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, said Chief Stephen Jaffe.

Police got a 911 call from a Catherine Avenue home about a man who was "out of control," Jaffe said.

The man left the house and authorities got calls from residents about the man, who had no shirt or shoes on, the chief said.

Police found the man, identified as Corominal, at Johnson and Meadow avenues. He refused to listen to Officer William Hunt, who pepper sprayed him, Jaffe said. Other officers responded and took Corominal into custody after a brief struggle, he said.

Mahwah EMS personnel responded and treated Corominal due to the pepper spray. He also had an injury on his hand, which he got before he ran from the house, Jaffe said.
