Ramsey High School Dismissed Early After Threat, No One Injured
Ramsey High School was on lockdown for several hours Thursday because of a reported threat that had "no credibility," school officials said.

RAMSEY, NJ — Ramsey High School was on lockdown for several hours Thursday because of a reported threat that had "no credibility," school officials said.
Ramsey Police have not yet released any information.
Police first sent an alert to Ramsey residents around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, News12 reported.

The high school sent out its first notice via Twitter at 11:26 a.m. and announced the early dismissal shortly after noon.
"RHS remains in lockdown status," school officials said on Twitter, shortly after noon. "No report of any injury to students or staff. Law enforcement investigated the threat with no credibility. RHS will be dismissing early today. Updates on dismissal procedures will be forthcoming."

School officials had asked people not to call Ramsey Police, or to come to the school, during the investigation.
Ramsey HS, at 256 East Main Street, serves the communities of Ramsey and Saddle River. There were 845 students enrolled for the 2020-2021 school year.
