Ramsey Woman Arrested On Prostitution, Drug Charges

A Ramsey woman and New York man were arrested at a hotel for prostitution- and drug-related charges.

RAMSEY, NJ — A Ramsey woman and Farmingdale, New York, man were arrested on June 2 for prostitution- and drug-related charges, Ramsey Police Chief Brian Lyman told Patch on Tuesday.

Ramsey police found Donna Olsen, 35, and Carlo Maltempti, 48, at an Extended Stay America hotel just off Route 17, while responding to a welfare check request, police said.

After an investigation, officers arrested the two occupants in the hotel room, police said.

Maltempti was charged with soliciting prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia before being released with a court date. Olsen was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Bergen and Morris Counties, prostitution, hindering apprehension, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

A subsequent search warrant provided additional charges for Olsen, including distribution of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine. She was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending an initial court appearance, police said.
