MAHWAH, NJ – The Bergen County Clerk’s office and the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will set up satellite offices in Mahwah this week.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the clerk’s office will be stationed at the Mahwah Borough Hall Senior Center, 475 Corporate Drive.

For the last two years, Bergen County Clerk John Hogan’s “Around the County” initiative has sought to make it easier for residents to perform tasks like updating a passport or using a notary by setting up satellite offices in several communites.

Among the services available are passport applications, senior and veteran photo cards, notary oaths and business trade name registration, according to the county. Residents seeking passports should bring two checks.

On Wednesday, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s Mobile Unit will be parked outside the municipal building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The handicap accessible unit is able to handle several services that the MVC officers offer such as non-driver identification cards, registration, license plates, placards and exam permits.
