Black Ice Possible Overnight In Parts Of Bergen County: NWS
A wintry mix will continue to fall in Bergen County on Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service advises people to drive carefully.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Black ice is possible on some Bergen County roads Wednesday night into Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
Any light rainfall Wednesday evening could freeze overnight if temperatures drop below zero. Untreated roads, especially, could have black ice.
The NWS cautions people to use caution and drive slowly when on the roads.

The advisory ends 5 a.m. Thursday.
Temperatures will drop below freezing in these Bergen County Patches, according to NWS forecasts: Mahwah, Wyckoff, Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Westwood, Hillsdale, Fair Lawn, and Saddle Brook.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A wintry mix will continue to fall in Bergen County into Wednesday evening, prompting the National Weather Service to extend a special weather statement.
There will not be much additional accumulation, but a possible mix of rain and snow could cause slick roads.
"Snow will continue over the next several hours and into the evening commute, with the possibility of a changeover to a rain/snow mix," the NWS said. "Although temperatures are above freezing, a wintry mix could cause isolated slick spots. Less than an inch of addition snowfall is expected."
The special weather statement ends at 5:30 p.m.
Some snow may continue into the evening, as well.
