Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are in the forecast in western Bergen County, prompting a winter storm watch Thursday-Friday.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are in the forecast later this week in western Bergen County, prompting a winter storm watch from the National Weather Service.
Northern New Jersey may likely see snow and a wintry mix (with up to 7 inches of precipitation possible) on Thursday and Friday, while the southernmost tip of the state will most likely see just rainfall.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers before 1pm. Cloudy early, then gradual clearing, with a high near 66. West wind 9 to 13 mph.
Wednesday night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 26. Northwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph.
Thursday night: Snow, mainly after 1am. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 27. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. East wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Friday: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 1 p.m., then a chance of snow and freezing rain between 1 and 2 p.m., then a chance of rain after 2 p.m. High near 35. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Friday night: A chance of freezing rain before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
