As Winter Ends And Spring 2024 Begins, Is One More Snow Day In Mahwah's Future?
While snow showers are predicted for the first days of spring in the Mahwah area, there's a bigger weather story on tap for this weekend.

MAHWAH, NJ — Spring began at 11:06 p.m. Tuesday night — the start of the vernal equinox — and despite some meteorologists talking about the possibility of one last snowstorm around this time, the forecast now calls for heavy rain over the weekend.
The winter of 2023-2024 saw two major snowstorms that closed many Bergen County schools, one in January and one in February. The second storm didn't really whip up until after 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 13, misleading some into believing that forecasters and school officials had called it wrong. But once it began, the snow continued for much of that day.
