Wind Advisory Issued In Bergen County Saturday-Sunday: NWS

BERGEN COUNTY — A wind advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday in most of Bergen County, the National Weather Service said.

Northwest winds will come in at 20-25 miles per hour, with wind gusts up to 50 mph expected. Tree limbs and unsecured outdoor objects could blow over, the NWS said.

Bergen County snow reports as of Saturday afternoon ranged from 0.5 inches in Tenafly to 2.5 inches in Franklin Lakes. Snow totals had not been updated since 2:43 p.m. Sunday.

Rain, snow, and sleet, becoming all snow after noon. Temperature falling to around 20 by 5pm. Wind chill values between 5 and 15. Breezy, with a northwest wind 13 to 18 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Saturday night
A 30 percent chance of snow before 7pm. Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 18. Wind chill values between zero and 5. Blustery, with a west wind 16 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Sunday
A chance of flurries after 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 35. Wind chill values between 5 and 15. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday night
A chance of flurries before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph.
