Winter Storm Warning Issued For Bergen County Friday-Saturday
Bergen County is under a winter storm warning from Friday until Saturday evening, as a storm system moves in.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Bergen County is under a winter storm warning from Friday until Saturday evening, as a storm system threatens to dump several inches of snow across the state.
The winter storm warning for Bergen and parts of Passaic, Essex, and Union counties runs from 7 p.m. Friday until 7 p.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service says travel during these hours "will become very difficult" and advises people to keep food, water, and a flashlight in their vehicle in case of an emergency.
Northeast New Jersey may see an inch of powdery snow per hour during the storm; the National Weather Service said 5 to 10 inches are possible in northeast New Jersey this weekend.

The Bergen County Office of Emergency Management said 6 to 10 inches of snow are possible with totals higher in the southeastern section of the county.

"This should be a light fluffy snow that will easily blow around with the gusty winds," the EMA wrote.
PSE&G has storm preparedness advice available online.
Several municipalities have also issued reminders and updates as the storm moves in.
Saddle Brook, Glen Rock, Teaneck, and Paramus all reminded citizens not to park on public streets overnight.

Friday Night: Snow likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 14. Wind chill values between zero and 10. North wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Saturday: Snow likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 22. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. Blustery, with a north wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 9. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. Blustery, with a northwest wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 27. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14.
