You Can 'Totes' Help The Mahwah Museum Society
Acme Markets is making it easier than ever for shoppers at its supermarkets to support their community and help the environment.

MAHWAH, NJ – Acme Markets is making it easier than ever for shoppers at its supermarkets to support their community and help the environment.
Starting Aug. 15 and running through the start of September, for each $3 reusable tote bag purchased at the Mahwah supermarket, $1 will be donated to the Mahwah Museum Society, Inc.
The library was selected for Acme’s “Give Back Where It Counts” reusable bag program by the Mahwah store’s leadership. The initiative encourages the community to support charitable organizations where they live and work.

The Mahwah Museum Society said, “We will use these funds to continue to mount new exhibits, to arrange for lectures and gallery talks and to create even more joy for children of all ages at the Donald Cooper Model RR. The funds will also allow us to continue to collect and archive the story of Mahwah and the surrounding community."
Every month, at each participating Acme store, a new non-profit is chosen to be the beneficiary of the bag. The initiative, which launched in Aug. 2018, focuses on supporting non-profits in the areas of health & wellness, education, hunger relief, civic and military/veterans organizations.
