Englishtown Auction Vendor Assaulted, Items Stolen
A vendor was assaulted while a Franklin Lakes man stole some electronic items.

A Franklin Lakes man was arrested by Manalapan police for allegedly assaulting a vendor at Englishtown Auction and stealing several electronic devices on Sunday, April 14.
Athelstan Jarrett, 18, was charged with robbery and theft of removable property by unlawful taking. According to an arrest warrant issued by the Manalapan Police Department, Jarrett grabbed the neck of an Englishtown Auction vendor and punched him the face causing him to fall to the ground while Jarrett was in the course of committing theft.
Jarrett allegedly took a Samsung Netbook and a Nintendo Wii from an Englishtown Auction Sales vendor. The Wii is valued at $200 and the Samsung Netbook is valued at $300.
Jarrett is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $50,500 bail. His initial appearance in front of Judge James Newman is scheduled for Monday, April 22.
