Fraud, Theft: Manalapan Police Blotter
Six fraud incidents were reported to Manalapan Police from Aug. 21 through Aug. 27.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported multiple incidents of fraud and theft from Aug. 21 through Aug. 27.
Aug. 21
Employees of the Home Goods at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan reported someone shoplifting items for $299.99.
A 54-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone fraudulently obtaining their Social Security number.

A 35-year-old Freehold resident reported someone making unauthorized transactions on their credit card for $239.63.
Linda Kussick, 61, of Manalapan, was arrested on a charge of theft of packages from a Cross Slope Court residence. The packages were valued at approximately $40. Kussick was taken to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released without posting bail.

Aug. 22
An employee of NLE Transport located at Thoreau Drive in Manalapan reported someone fraudulently using the company name to solicit business and defraud customers.
Aug. 23
A 65-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone fraudulently gaining access to an EBT card and buying items for $263.46.
Employees of the Sinclair Gas Station located at 436 Route 33 in Manalapan reported someone stealing a shipping container with vehicle tires in it. The tires were valued at $15,000.
A 71-year-old Monroe resident reported someone fraudulently cashing a $1,000 money order.
Aug. 24
Patrolman Haydn Matarazzo took custody of Mark Dotto, 38, of Manalapan, regarding a warrant issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Dotto was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters before being processed and turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
A 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone forcing entry into a Shinnecock Drive residence and removing various items.
Aug. 26
Liliana Cornell, 20, of Lanoka Harbor, was arrested for aggravated assault on a police officer following an investigation at Local’s Bar and Entertainment on 300 Gordon’s Corner Road. Cornell was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released without posting bail.
A 77-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone fraudulently withdrawing $513 from a PayPal account.
Aug. 27
Patrolman Frank Maisano arrested Ethan Melazzo, 32, of New Egypt, regarding a warrant issued for their arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000. Melazzo was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in place of bail.
